ARM Lingua has developed language courses for several years. We have adapted language training to the internet and to mobile phones.
ARM is an abbreviation for Audio Repetition Method. The method builds on the scientific basis of "universal grammar". All people are born with an ability to learn their mother tongue - no matter what country or language zone they grow up in. They learn complete phrases right from the start, and their brain is able to build grammatical rules implicitly based on this input. Pretty quickly a child can build an unlimited number of sentences spontaneously. This learning method we have adapted for older children, and of course for adults, allowing them to learn better and more quickly - while keeping it easy and fun. The simplicity of the method allows for distribution through new media channels.
ARM Lingua has done several projects in Norwegian schools which show that pupils using our learning method achieve both better comprehension and pronunciation that other pupils. ARM Lingua also sells a digital language laboratory to Norwegian schools: ARM Langlab©. With ARM Langlab pupils get much needed auditory and aural training directly through their own computers. Teacher can give assignments, and through the same system listen to the pupils' recordings. ARM Langlab comes complete with ready-to-use content, as well as allowing teacher to create their own assignments.
