Norwegian

Norwegian (norsk) is a North Germanic language spoken primarily in Norway, where it is an official language. Approximately 4,5 million people speak Norwegian. Some immigrants in the USA still speak and understand Norwegian.

There are two official forms of written Norwegian — Bokmål (literally "book language") and Nynorsk (literally "new Norwegian").

Listening

... is central in ARM Language Training. Learning to perceive and understand speech is a major part or language training. One often talks of "an ear for language".

Talking

Repeating what one hears is an important part of Language Training. After listening to the phrases, you record yourself saying them, and compare to the model voices. This is an effective method for perfecting your pronunciation.

Reading and writing

You can always see the phrase you are working on. Fill in the missing sounds. The system immediately tells you if you are right or wrong. This both focuses your listening and teaches you to write (and thereby read) in the language your are learning.
